Don't go for KDE on this machine, you'll need more RAM at least. IceWM is
rather spartanic but fast, fluxbox is even more spartanic but fast, too.
Windowmaker is somewhat strange but good, too. Or if it has to be something
Windows-like by all means: Gnome. Still a beast but a little slicker than KDE.
