Is it possible to install font files, which has a ".fon" extension? When I try to add these fonts in kde with Fontinst, it says that is doesn't support this file type. Is there any other way to install these fonts?
This is not simple.
If you have WINE it should include the program: "fnt2bdf" but you might have to build it from source to get it. It isn't installed but is in the source tree in the: "tools" directory after you build WINE.
That will make a BDF font file.
Then you use: "bdftopcf" to make a PCF file.
Then you GZip it.
Copy the file to: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/
And, run: "mkfontdir" in the directory.
