Problems sending email (kind of)

When I send an email the mail is sent but the progress bar at the bottom 
doesn't finish.  Like right now it's stuck at 85% while sending one email, 
but the email was actually sent.  I can tell because I sent it to myself.

This just started to happen.  I tried to use Outlook Express and it worked 
fine.  So did mail on OSX, so I don't think it's the smtp server.

The server in question is smtp.sbcglobal.net.
