[Liebe Leser von kde-de: Bitte entschuldigt diese englische Mail!] Hi, unfortunately (at least) two serious bugs crept into the KDE 3.2.0 release. Bug 71866 (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71866): "In KMail from KDE 3.1.4 I had a filter to delay downloading of emails that exceed 50000 bytes (and to show the dialogue). After installing 3.2B2 the filter was set to delete those emails on the server!" If you are using POP filters then, after upgrading to KDE 3.2.0, you must reconfigure your POP filters because otherwise all messages which were marked as "download later" in KDE 3.1 will be deleted in KDE 3.2. Bug 74017 (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74017): "There is a grave bug in KMail triggered by filtering mail in an imap folder through spamc. For some reason (which we are still hunting down) the message loses its UID and consequently a delete job is sent to the kio_imap slave without a UID. The slave unfortunately interprets that as "expunge folder"." (http://lists.kde.org/?l=kmail-devel&m=107588848411475) There's no other workaround than not to apply filters on IMAP messages in case you have a "pipe-through spamc" filter. It's possible that other "pipe-through" filters trigger the same bug. In the meantime both bugs have been fixed. The fixes will be in KDE 3.2.1, but hopefully the packagers will update their packages much sooner. In case you compile yourself you should check out the latest KDE_3_2_BRANCH version of kdepim (it might take a day until the fixes are in anoncvs) and recompile. Regards, Ingo
