Good hint, but it does not solve exactly this problem. There
is not a new drive, because the card reader is already there.
The card reader is the drive, not the compact flash card. 
When you insert the card, there is no new drive create. 
It is the existing device which changes it's geometry and 
partitions. You must trigger the kernel to recreate device
entries for the partitions.
