The weirdest thing just happened and I'm wondering what the heck could cause
this: I switched from kernel version 2.6.0-test4 to 2.6.0 (home built, using
exactly the same .config) and nothing weird happens at reboot except the
wallpapers have disappeared from both KDM and KDE. Trying to (re)set the
background pictures doesn't have any inpact and logs don't show anything
suspicious. Does anybody have a clue what could cause this behaviour?

Thanks in advance,

Auke
