I'm looking for a way within Konqueror to select multiple files and
then send all selected file names to an application. If I select
several files and then right click and do 'Open with', it only feeds the
first file name to the application.

For context, what I want to do is display thumbnails of all the images
in a directory, visually select all those which need to be rotated 90
degrees, and feed that list to a script which does the rotation.
Konqueror seems like the right choice, almost...

BTW, I'm using Konqueror 3.1.1-0.8x.3 on RedHat 8.0.

Thanks for any help, Tom

Good day Tom,

you probably need to edit whatever sevice menu file you have set up so
that its command looks like this:

<program> <program options> %F

Notice the capital F
It tells the system to send all selected file names to the
application.
If there is a small f then only the first file name is sent. I think
the same is true if no %f / %F is there at all.

You probably could test this by selecting multiple files, chose "Open
With..." and type in the command.

Best regards :o)

Johnny :o)

Hi,

Since a few weeks, the http://apps.kde.org (where new kde applications where
announced) disappeared. Do you know why? Where to go know?

Regards,

Gaetan.

This problem occurred with Konqueror when I tried Galeon.
Before using Galeon I could log on to either of two secure (128 bit encryption) financial sites. After Galeon was used, I could not log onto one of the two sites (related companies). I could log on to one of the two and from within the one, move to the second.

Removing and reinstalling Konqueror solved the problem: then.

Recently upgraded my Linux OS (SuSE 8.2 to 9.0) keeping all of my previous settings. Now the 'problem' has reappeared. I can log into site #1 but not site #2 (as before). I get the log in page on site #2 and when I complete the password information, I get a page loaded message and nothing (other than the intervening message that my profile is being secured.

Incidently, Mozilla works fine. Would like to use Konqueror as my main web browzer.

I assume you mean apps.kde.com? If so, yeah, it has been down for some time
now. This has been discussed on the list a good bit lately, and the word is
that nobody at kde.org knows why the site is down, or when it may be back up.
There has been talk of someone starting an apps.kde.org website as a
replacement, but I'm not sure how much work (if any) has been done on it yet.

Its a shame really, I enjoyed being able to browse the site every once and a
while and find some cool new app.

Well, that's no longer true. There's a statement by Andreas Pour:

Christian.
