The following audio and visual products are now playing at:

http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/spotlights/200703-ipy.cfm  .

  • Video on International Polar Year, a worldwide study of Earth's poles.  NASA extends the study to the icy poles of the moon and Mars.
  • "Cool Science" slide show, starring icebergs, glaciers, fjords and other "cool" features at Earth's poles.

Accompanying feature stories describe the current International Polar Year, a venture whose history includes the Antarctic exploration of Admiral Richard E. Byrd, and a look at how NASA's Grace mission is helping scientists better understand how climate change affects Greenland and Antarctica.

The multimedia materials are also available by going directly to http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/multimedia/ .
