Also, from the linux suspend mechanism, /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/99video is
just useless or breaks more than it helps. I just removed it. It tries some

The version I used was drm-intel-nightly, the version from last Saturday, pulled from the new git repository. Note, however, that I have the pipe A quirk disabled since it makes the boot console unusable (which might explain something).

resume from the suspend state, after wakeup. As you see, register contents are quite different, thus apparently, something goes wrong there. I'm not sure whether the BIOS intercepts here in some strange way, but at least the chip is not reconfigured in the same way as it was during bootstrap.
