Would:

        if (IS_VALLEYVIEW(dev)) 
                for_each_pipe(pipe)
                        info->num_sprites[pipe] = 2;
        else 
                for_each_pipe(pipe)
                        info->num_sprites[pipe] = 1;

be acceptable to your keen eye?
