Good for now, we could look into extending the userspace tests with some
of the reset dance, too.

You mean suspend-resume ie. the part that is not covered by IGT any more and cannot be covered by selftests? I could also resurrect the IGT reset test, but previously you wanted it removed together with the whole bunch.
