Neat trick! :)

Conversion looks correct.

Two nitpicks are:

1. It's not really a factory, but I guess we can give it an unusual name in our world so it sticks out as unusual.

2. We could simplify by avoiding macro tricks by just passing in { .field = value } by value.

I don't actually mind the trick, but since it is a novel concept in IGT codebase (AFAIR), then please run it past Petri at least.
