Ask from kernel about supported modes for each plane and try setting them on display and verify functionality with crc. DRM_FORMAT_ARGB8888 and DRM_FORMAT_ABGR8888 skip crc testing on primary and overlay planes because they produce incorrect crcs from hardware. DRM_FORMAT_ARGB8888 is tested on cursor plane. There is preparation for planar formats but I didn't see stable implementation yet so it has holes.
