Hi

Quoting "Dr. Thorsten Brandau via Info" <info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>:

What makes things more complicated, that my groupware does not like to communicate with cyrus (group-e from endo7), especially not with the included sieve which affects us seriously (no automatic replys configureable)

there where many changes between Cyrus 2.4 and Cyrus 3.10 that could be the
root of the problem. Just to mention a few.

- Sieve Port changed
  Port 2000 (old convention)
  Port 4190 RFC 5804

Check that group-e and Cyrus are using the same Port

- all Authentication with unencrypted Passworde (e.g. PLAIN and LOGIN)
will require an encrypted connection SSL/TLS or STARTTLS

Does group-e use an encrypted connection? Did you check the Cert verification

Also a common cause of trouble are SELinux and Firewall configuration.

Last but not least I am lookkng for an administration/user admin tool for cyrus (group-e did that well)

I don't know group-e, But if it was able to work with cyrus 2.4 it should
also work with newer version of cyrus.

Did you see any error messages from cyrus or group-e in you log files?

Kind regards

   Michael Menge
