So, could you confirm the limitation of the webdav regarding utf-8 not supported (yet)?

It depends. The HTTP path of your WebDAV collection must be properly encoded (see RFC3986 "percent-encoding").  Your DAV client may store any UTF-8 string in the {DAV}:displayname WebDAV property on the folder.

Thank you, I check the RFC you mentioned.

Could you confirm the strange behavior when creating new content on webdav?

It sounds to me as if this is an issue of the DAV client rather than Cyrus? Do you have  a chance to test the client with another DAV server to see if results differ?

I try to find a different dav server, which could be a problem as I do not really use any dav server directly.

------

Meanwhile I checked the mentioned RFCs and I dubt I can change the behavior of my client (caja) as a user.
It seems this kind of issue more related to the developers.

So, I have two possible way to test the situation:
* using different dav client to connect to cyrus
* checking a different webdav server with caja and a different client, too

As using webdav from cyrus is not crucial for me and in my use case, this task will be not completed soon :)

Thank you!
István
