Tried to use real (non-virtual) machines and the i still get the same problem, my guess it that it has to be a problem in Slackware it self. Might be time to switch to another distribution.

Hi,

I'm trying to set up cyrus murder test environment, i have followed
instructions from http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/imapd/install-murder.html
and some web resources.

When i try to start everything up i get the following errors on backend
and
frontend servers.
I can connect to frontend with a client but imap folders list fails. Any
idea what is wrong ? or a suggestion to a good cyrus murder howto.

Does mupdatetest also crash on those servers? If so, you can run it under a
debugger or strace to trouble shoot.

I have tried mupdatetest on this servers and it runs normally (it does not
crash out).
Maybe i need to try this on physical servers and not virtual or try a
different distro.

We run Cyrus under VMWare here (Debian, not Slackware), so I don't see why virtualization would be the cause of your problem.
