That's incorrect. CRAM-MD5 does not support a security layer. Try:

imtest -m DIGEST-MD5 -a admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx server2.example.com

or

imtest -s -a admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx server2.example.com
