Hi Simon,
So I did clean house, went through and deleted everything out of
every directory I had put cyrus stuff into. Built and installed the
RPMs. Cyrus runs fine, except it continues to give me the same error
that I had before when using Thunderbird to access my inbox:
"mailbox does not exist".
This leads me to believe that maybe my problem is actually LDAP. Maybe
cyrus is trying to pull down my mailbox location from LDAP and is not
able to.
My saslauthd is using my ldap servers for authentication. That works.
However, when we get to accessing the mailboxes themselves, this is when
it fails and gives me that error. However, cyrus isn't logging anything
in relation to this error, so I'm lost at this point.
The good news is that cyradm works without seg faulting, although I
still can't get into cyrus:
[root@cyrus bin]# ./cyradm -u cyrusadmin
cyradm> connect localhost
IMAP Password:
Login failed: authentication failure at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/Cyrus/IMAP/Admin.pm
line 119
server: localhost: cannot authenticate
Thanks for all of your help!
David
But please make sure you really remove EVERYTHING from your source
install, like user entries, services etc.
