Hello, I have been attempting to implement the changes described in this draft, however I have come across issues that have made this difficult, if not impossible. The format of the "dest" claim understandably mirrors that of the "orig" claim, however it is also meant to match the "dest" claim of a previous PASSporT, specifically: > For each "div" PASSporT, the verification service MUST find an earlier PASSporT that contains a "dest" claim with a value equivalent to the "div" claim in each "div" PASSporT. The word "equivalent" here is not well defined as "dest" and "div" have different structures (the first contains arrays the second single values). However, stating that "div" must equal one of the corresponding values in "dest" is not enough, as it is also not explicit that the "div" header cannot contain both a "tn" and a "uri" claim, which would make this matching impossible. Lastly, RFC 8224 explicitly left verification of "dest" undefined for future compatibility, and while this doesn't define this, it does impose some meaning to a "dest" claim with multiple values, which seems valuable to note. Please could you consider addressing these issues before standardising this draft as they leave ambiguity for implementations. Please send substantive comments to the last-call@xxxxxxxx mailing lists by 2019-12-02. Exceptionally, comments may be sent to iesg@xxxxxxxx instead. In either case, please retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting. Abstract PASSporT is specified in RFC 8225 to convey cryptographically-signed information about the people involved in personal communications. This document extends PASSporT to include an indication that a call has been diverted from its original destination to a new one. This information can greatly improve the decisions made by verification services in call forwarding scenarios. Also specified here is an encapsulation mechanism for nesting a PASSporT within another PASSporT that assists relying parties in some diversion scenarios.
