What I've concluded (independently) is that I've pretty much said
everything about this that I can reasonably say in a mailing list
discussion, and that if I still want to try to convince people, I should
set out the argument in an Internet-Draft where I can address the
subject comprehensively and in more detail. So I'll think about
whether I want to do that, but unless someone raises some new point
here, I'm probably done with this thread.
