Pascal,

I would like to clarify this.

At this time I dont have access to 802.11 standard.  I dont think you have access either, other than via your organisation maybe, but not as an individual.

Please let me know whether you have free access?

Can you click and get the document now?

Many people say IEEE 802.11-2016 is free, but it depends what they mean by free.  At this time I understand it can be "*Please note: free consultation available to organizations only, not for individuals or students."

I would like to debug this to better understand.  Web browsing is not easy.

The page you point to leads to this figure (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/7786995)

Remark "You do not have access to this PDF" when rolling the mouse over the small red "PDF" button which becomes black.

Then, I click on that PDF button and I obtain this login page.  This login page says that I should Sign In to access this free standard.

That requests to create an account.  I try to create an account.

Then that says "Thank you for your submission", and "An IEEE Content Specialist will contact you soon".

But beware that:

- the document behind the URL is behind a paywall, even though the
