Or they may simply be indications that people like to get excited if they think they are morally “in the right”.

A surprisingly large percentage of the problems on earth are caused by people that think they are “in the right”, then think that being angry for a good reason justifies abandoning all thinking about the consequences of one’s actions — they are “in the right” after all?

I wish this anti-pattern of human behavior were taught in school.

(I like the rest of Ted’s post; I’m just reacting to the first sentence, which may be supported by the anecdote given, but often is not — it is important to see both sides of this coin.)
