The lack of connection between DNS "things" and HTTP "things" is clearly visible. Ability to accept new Resource Record Types for example. To me two things are clearly a failure of IETF, from my perspective. Other people have other favorites: - The overload of TXT records instead of new RR Types. - The inability to agree on how to use SRV/URI/whatever in HTTP/2. Both can be fixed, although I am pessimistic. Patrik
