Flying from NZ to HI, I will arrive the day before I leave, so I
booked my room with very great care (and within 3.5 hours of the
Secretariat announcement). But in answer to John: in my case,
yes, I will arrive earlier than usual, paying for a few days
myself. However, the external evidence is that the reserved
block was too small.
