I stand corrected.

My recollection about the initial pushback should be clarified...by the time the reason got to me, EPP was something ICANN had asked of the IETF.  Consider that to be subject to the "telephone game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telephone_game)" syndrome. ;)
