might be appropriate for a different question.

Perhaps the IETF should and can change (not where it has always been a
success) to capture new people.
It would take a huge effort to do the above. A person trying to do
it will make a lot of enemies.
Do you know people in universities or research centers in South
America who might be interested in contributing their knowledge? If
so, could you ask them to comment on ericas?
