The IESG received a request from the DNSEXT WG to create an Internet Standard [1]. The IESG solicited comments. As this is the second last Call I presume that someone might know whether that Internet Standard will be STD 13 or something else. Could the information be shared?

Are there any guidelines about the publication of Internet Standards, i.e. how are STDs assigned and who does the assignment?
