Fond memories of my first IETF... We were stuck at a highway exit for 4
hours unable to either cross the swollen river that had been a side road
minutes before or to go back.

I got to DFW, called the place I was staying (a motel across the street from the venue) who told me that the water was several feet deep in front, so I snagged an overpriced room at the airport Marriott for the night.
