The biggest problem with roadmaps like RFC 4614 (TCP) and RFC 6071
(IPsec) is that they are obsolete a few months after their publication
(for instance, since RFC 4614, there have been RFC 5925, RFC 5961, RFC
5681... which are all necessary for a TCP implementer).

Since RFC are never modified, they may not be the best way to navigate
into IETF standards.
