Re: Last Call: draft-sjdcox-cgi-urn (A URN namespace for the Commission for the Management and Application of Geoscience Information (CGI)) to Informational RFC

This I-D proposes a namespace of CGI.

This acronym is already so widely used in the world of IT - just look at this
announcement and every one like it for an example - that I think it would be
irresponsible of us to define this acronym as the namespace for the
"Commission for the Management and Application of
   Geoscience Information (CGI) "
even if that is the common usage of it in geospatial circles.

I note that one of the examples in this I-D uses OGC, presumable from
"The design of the CGI namespace builds on the experience of the Open
Geospatial Consortium (OGC) which has defined the framework of
geospatial services within which CGI standards have been developed"
and that would seem a better choice.
