Christian, Very sad news indeed. I, and I think all of us, will miss him, he technical contributions, and his personal style in approaching and sorting through issues. As I have partially written you off-list, I hope that there is a way to convey the comments and condolences from this community to his family and friends in the Seattle area and hope that something appropriate will be included in the IETF 122 plenary. May his memory be a blessing. john --On Monday, February 3, 2025 18:10 -0800 Christian Huitema <huitema@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I am saddened to share that Bernard Aboba, a long time IETF > participant, > <https://datatracker.ietf.org/person/bernard.aboba@xxxxxxxxx> > passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, after facing health > challenges. > > Many of you certainly know him, and appreciate the work that he did > over the years for a better and more secure Internet, in the IETF, > IEEE and at Microsoft. > > Bernard's funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at > 2:00 PM at: Herzi Memorial > Park<https://h-nt.org/bereavement-funeral-cemetery/>, 16747 Dayton > Ave. N, Shoreline, WA 98133. > > -- Christian Huitema >
