I was trying to stay out of this, but as it shows for some reason in my IDR WG filter please kindly allow me to comment.
I think the draft is useless and should be junked.
Extending expiration take less then 15 sec and IMHO is useful for two main reasons:
#1 - to indicate that those who wrote it are still alive
#2 - to indicate that those who wrote it are still interested in pursuing this under their present employer umbrella **.
** - No chairs should not be extending the drafts.
Even after expiration the drafts are still alive and searchable for years to come so those who want can still build upon former work and if they are kind credit original authors.
