Thanks for the positive response!

Yes, each class has participatory and interactive elements. As mentioned, the interactions *among* participants have been the most highly rated aspects of past editions, that’s definitely a feature.

While, I don’t think there’s an easy way to have separate “observer” status with the technology we’re using, you (and any other IETF participant) should definitely feel free to register as we expect to be able to accommodate anyone who is interested. You can sign up at:

https://chairs.ietf.org/en/training

There are also recordings of past editions available via that page, and we plan to post recordings of this year’s editions there, too.

We engaged a company called Ricochet (https://ricochetadvice.com/) to develop and deliver the training specifically for the IETF. The classes benefitted from guidance and input from chairs and Area Directors. They’ve been further refined based on feedback from participants in previous editions. Each class covers some general models and principles, tuned with IETF-specific examples and information.

Definitely. We’ll add those to the page at:

https://chairs.ietf.org/en/training

Thanks again,

-Greg

They have been developed based on previous IETF working group chair training and in consultation with group chairs and members of the Internet Engineering Steering Group (IESG). They have been further refined based on feedback from participants in previous editions. The courses are interactive and include discussions among participants, which has been one of the most highly rated aspects of past editions.
