There is considerable latitude in converting IETF bib information into bibtex.
Are these scripts using a similar approach as the datatracker bibtex?
I have no clue actually, but I guess that my scripts predate whatever is
implemented in the datatracker. Early versions of my scripts
date back to 2004 or so.
