I just checked my folders. I was outed and 'fessed up on 1 April almost       5 hours before Paul's "you should be culled" email that he used to tie me
      to "Les White".

Dan,

I did not say YOU should be culled. I said:

    From: "Paul Wouters" <paul@xxxxxxxxx>
    To: les.white@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Subject: The IETF would be better of without you

Your behaviour is exactly the type of libertarian nonsense that needs
to be culled at the IETF.

    Paul

I was clearly talking about your behaviour needing culling, not your
physical person. Putting it in quotes, or calling it humor or sarcasm
tomorrow is not a valid defense for making incorrect statements about me.

  I stand corrected!

"to cull" can mean to glean or gather but since you called my behavior
nonsense it seems like you want to get rid of it, so I'm thinking you meant
the other meaning, namely, to slaughter and remove from the herd (the
herd being in this case the IETF). Now, it seems hypocritical to have
complaints of being bullied in one email when that sort of violent language
against someone else is being used in another.

Note here that I'm not making comments about *you*, it's about what
you wrote. See I've figured out how this works. It's OK to say that an email
is <pick your pejorative> because it's not saying the person who wrote
the email is <pick your pejorative>.

  Dan.
