Hi. For those who have not heard, there was a shooting incident in Philly on Saturday. Information at https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/05/us/philadelphia-south-street-shoot ing/index.html for those who are curious. Looks like about 40 minutes walk from the venue. I have no reason to believe, or predict whether, this makes the venue, its surroundings, and any alternate places to stay more or less safe, nor what the situation will be in six or seven weeks (the latter just like COVID) and will not comment further. I just think people should be aware of this in the interest of making informed decisions. I do not believe this requires additional discussion but that it should just inform individual decision-making (or not, depending on the reader). If anyone disagrees and wants to talk about it, there are probably more appropriate lists -- most likely 114attendees, manycouches, or admin-discuss depending on your subject matter -- than this one.
