Hi, the IESG is considering the publication of a new version of the Tao of the IETF. Per RFC6722, that does not require a period of community review, but since this revision is somewhat substantial, the IESG is inviting comments on the proposed revision. The proposed revision of the Tao is at http://www.ietf.org/tao-possible-revision.html. The current version of the Tao is at https://www.ietf.org/about/participate/tao/. If you prefer to review on GitHub, the current revision is at https://github.com/ietf/tao/blob/ae31db516c1c5cade50a25640f528bb36e81bc5e/Tao.md, and the new revision is at https://github.com/ietf/tao/blob/main/Tao.md. A GitHub diff is available via https://github.com/ietf/tao/compare/ae31db516c1c5cade50a25640f528bb36e81bc5e...main#diff-ecfe4e76d8fa0c495b999a60e0c158dc00d7b588d1aad76dd2aeae1f53f66c16. From the editors: > In this version we did a full edit of the Tao to make it shorter and more readable, updated markdown to be compliant with the IETF's website CMS (Wagtail), and updated a lot of outdated information. > > We made new iterations through discussions on the Tao-discuss mailinglist and by organizing a Tao edit-a-thon with contributions from different parts of the community. I think the authors would prefer comments as PRs on GitHub, but you may of course also email tao-discuss@xxxxxxxx. The IESG will review the received feedback during the next few weeks, and decide on the approval of the proposed revision of the Tao on 2022-6-16. Lars Eggert IETF Chair
