As others have said, thanks for working to increase the transparency of IETF processes. I have seen both sides of the issues brought up by Lucas, Eric, and Ted. As a WG chair, I tried to be diligent in bringing things back to the WG when it seemed necessary, but it’s not great that this depends on the whims and views of one
person. On the other hand, very few people really want to follow, let alone participate in, detailed arguments about the Chicago Manual of Style. I don’t have a proposal, just confirming the point raised by others. |
