We wanted to let the list know that the sergeant-at-arms (SAA) team (described in more detail at [1]) has been in touch with Masataka Ohta off-list concerning their recent messages [2][3]. We encourage everyone to review the IETF discussion list charter [4] and avoid postings that include unprofessional commentary [5].
Without clarifying what part of my message is considered "unprofessional", only to chill others? And, I was told that: : We are reaching out to you because of your recent message to : ietf@xxxxxxxx [2]. The message contained the following : language: : Only to celebrate the stupid proposal of the stupid tool : team (not offending any individual of the team) to make : ftp service of IETF obsolete and the similarly stupid : decision of Mozilla? : which the SAA team considers unprofessional commentary [3] : for insulting and demeaning the team. even though I have already explicitly confirmed that it is OK to recognize collective stupidity of IPng/IPv6 and LISP teams? It was and still should be OK to call IPv6 and LISP garbage. Masataka Ohta
