You are welcome!

For context I'm the chairman of the foundation that owns netnod [1] and was responsible for
contacts with the IETF related to Henriks work while he worked for netnod.

Henrik worked for netnod for many years and towards the last couple of years switched to working
full time on IETF tools. During this time there was an agreement between netnod and the IETF that
roughly 40% of Henriks time would be funded by netnod.

The year before Jay took on the role as LLC chair I was contacted by Portia Wenze-Danley who
informed us that after a decision by IETF leadership, netnod would be required to submit a
competitive bid for Henriks contract - ie a bid for what was in substantial parts a donation.

At that point Henrik decided to submit a bid under his own flag and netnod naturally ended the
sponsorship at the same time. I expressed my surprise to Portia and later to Jay about how
the relationship with Henrik and netnod was managed.
