In mailing lists I have observed there are usually a few key guys

In SOME neighborhoods (I won't say "most"; I haven't SEEN "most"), there is a guy who handles trouble for everyone else. Maybe he likes it, maybe he doesn't but does it anyway because he's good at it and it helps the neighborhood stay quiet and safe. What you call him really depends upon your point of view. Yes, troublemakers call him a bully. But, the quiet peaceful people who rely on him to keep their neighborhood quiet and peaceful while they go about their business think of him more as the policeman who happens to live on our block.
Everyone has ideas. Some good; some bad. Please, bring your idea here, and we'll discuss it. But, it's hard to have sympathy for your whining when you are told by _several_different_people_ that this idea has flaws. Think them over, and improve your idea with the input you get from others who have been thinking about the same problem. Bring back your improved idea, and we'll do the cycle again, until we either come up with a workable solution, or give up.
I am usually just a lurker here, but this thread doesn't look like it is going anywhere useful, and it has lost it's entertainment value. In fact, while your posts can't really be considered spam, they are rapidly attaining the same value. Please remember that anything you post to this discussion list will be archived, and available for the whole universe to see.
Ask yourself "Will I be happy, 30 years from now, to know that my grandchildren are reading this post to find out what grandpa was like?"
