Hi Pasi,

I want to know whether DCCP is in the process of being abandoned.

If it is, the DCCP WG would save many people (not only Gorry and me)
time by declaring the protocols as abandoned, ideally by changing the
status of the documents

If however there is still IETF support for this protocol, then there
are issues in practice (these won't be visible in simulations).

The problem of inflated RTTs due to measurement errors returned just
this week on dccp@vger (google "Problems with idle DCCP connections"),
and it will continue to re-occur as long as the protocol is considered
active. One solution to the problem could be to declare the protocol
officially abandoned?
