The IESG has approved changing the status of the following document: - Multicast Using Bit Index Explicit Replication (BIER) (rfc8279) to Proposed Standard This document action is documented at: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/status-change-bier-core-to-proposed-standard/ A URL of the affected document is: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/rfc8279/ Status Change Details: The BIER WG was initially chartered for Experimental work. These two RFCs were of the quality necessary for Proposed Standard, but were published before the WG was rechartered. The BIER WG is now being rechartered to do Standards Track specifications and the core of the BIER technology is ready to also be promoted to that status.
