I am sorry to say that you have an enhanced IdeaPad with "ThinkPad" written in the cover. There is nothing we can do to help you. You can, however, ask Lenovo for IdeaPad Linux support. Maybe if enough people do it, they will either write the drivers or publish the information required for someone to write a driver. > [X.] Other notes, patches, fixes, workarounds: > I'm reporting this bug upstream as Matt Zimmermann suggested me at > https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hotkey-setup/+bug/222796 I will add a note that the ThinkPad SL500 has IdeaPad firmware there. > Moreover I see at http://ibm-acpi.sourceforge.net/ that the SL500 is not even > listed in the supported models table, but other unsupported models are > listed, so this could be a bug report or a request to add the model to that > table, just in case it's not supported, in order to save others the time to > look for a working acpi module... I am slowly working in a way to keep those pages up to date. However, until I do, you can always get far more up-to-date information on thinkwiki.org. Note that nobody that owns a SL500 took the time to *properly* fill in information about it in ThinkWiki yet... -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
