I just tried Fedora Core 8 and it works under it. Always file a bug on Ubuntu if it ever causes problem with thinkpad-acpi. Otherwise, they keep giving *me* trouble over it telling me "everything is fine", when it, in fact, isn't. If we find out that there is a bug in thinkpad-acpi, that's not a problem.
