Known bug on ACPI video, they are going to fix it (but the fix is
non-trivial, so I am not sure it will arrive for 2.6.25. I sure hope so).

Lenovo BIOS bug, you can (and should!) open a technical support request with
them, complaining about it.  But make sure you tested it with the latest
BIOS available for your thinkpad, first.

A workaround will be added to ACPI video sooner or later, it is a common
problem, probably due to a hole in the ACPI spec or somesuch.

They are known kernel ACPI video.c bugs, which are going to be fixed.
