Hi there, I have some problems regarding the mute & power button and some hotkeys on the keyboard on my T61. Exact model number is 6457W2C, BIOS version is 1.26-1.06 I run a kernel 2.6.24-rc3 patched with corresponding zen-sources (http://zen.waninkoko.info/patches/2.6.24/), they update the thinkpad_acpi driver to version 0.18. The problems: The mute button does nothing. I tried to catch events with xev, showkey and acpi_listen. The Volume+/- buttons do create proper key events in contrast. The power button does nothing, too. Some of the FN-Fx combinations do not work as expected: table created after "echo enabled > /proc/acpi/ibm/hotkeys" and "echo 0xffff > /proc/acpi/ibm/hotkeys" key xev-keycode acpi_listen showkey FN+F1 no reaction 00001001 466 FN+F2 146 00001002 152 FN+F3 241 00001003 236 FN+F4 223* 00001004* 142* FN+F5 243 00001005 238 FN+F6 no reaction 00001006 471 FN+F7 214 00001007 227 FN+F8 no reaction 00001008 473 FN+F9 no reaction 00001009 474 FN+F10 FN is shown** no reaction 143*** FN+F11 no reaction 0000100b 476 FN+F12 165* 0000100c* 205* * keys work only sometimes, i.e. after some time again, but never two times consecutivly. ** while holding the key down, a *lot* of keypress events are triggered. *** key release is only recognized when releasing FN. What can I do to get at least the Mute and Power button working ? -- Regards, Jens ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
