Ah, thank you very much. I was just looking for exactly that
functionality and thinking about implementing it myselves. But your
latest patch seems to work fine for me. 

Maintainers: Please include it in the mainline ibm-acpi.


For reference: I have a T60p (8741-C4G) with hardware RF kill switch
(never looked at what options the BIOS might offer). ecdump shows that
offset 0x48 has value 0x10 when the kill switch is on / radio is off and
value 0x12 when the kill switch is off / radio is on.
