Hello,

I'm currently facing an issue starting hostapd on wlan interfaces,
and trying to get to the bottom of it.

# iwinfo
wlan0     ESSID: unknown
          Access Point: 70:B3:D5:E7:E0:43
          Mode: Client  Channel: unknown (unknown)
          Center Channel 1: unknown 2: unknown
          Tx-Power: 0 dBm  Link Quality: unknown/70
          Signal: unknown  Noise: unknown
          Bit Rate: unknown
          Encryption: unknown

          TX power offset: none
          Frequency offset: none

# hostapd -d -B -i wlan0 /tmp/0_CUSTOM_0

the file is

hw_mode=a

but iw list is saying that :

* 5865 MHz [173] (disabled)

I'm a bit lost on how to track down the issue further,
Is there some issue in the nl80211 driver ?
