hostapd not sending SSID

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I'm trying to configure hostapd, but the SSID doesn't appear. This is the
case with Debian 10, OpenSUSE 15.1, and 2.9 from the website. If I use dd-wrt
on the same hardware, I am able to see an SSID on other devices.

lspci reports the nic as:
04:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR928X Wireless Network Adapter
(PCI-Express) (rev 01)

My minimal config:
interface=wlan0
driver=nl80211
ssid=test
ctrl_interface=/var/run/hostapd
channel=1
wpa_key_mgmt=WPA-PSK

Output from running with -dd:
